He is the Lord God
Tuesday, September 26th, 2006Renew our work in Jesus. Let the inspiration dwell! Let the fire of our love for him burn in our hearts. Let us restore the desire we have to do great exploits of his message. Let us be powerful in spreading the good news to the poor. Let us be brave and true, strong and mighty as the Lord is such.
Come; keep silence before him as we come near together to judgment. Let us contemplate on the word of God as we renew our strength. And as the proper time comes, let us be bold with the Holy Ghost! Lift your eyes on high and behold him who has created these things of the earth, and call them all by names.
Behold the Lord will come with a strong hand. Even as the grass wither, and the flower fade, let the Spirit of the Lord blow in us (Isaiah 40:7). Let the Lord open rivers in high places and open fountains in the midst of the valleys; make wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water (Isaiah 41:18).
Yes, behold the Lord, for he is He! Even everyone is called by his name, and he has created Christ for his glory, he has formed him; yea he has made him. And thus he commands, “Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Let the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled.”
“Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. Ye are my servants whom I have chosen, says the Lord, that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there is no God formed.”
“Neither shall there be God formed after me. I, even I, am the Lord: and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and have shown, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, says the Lord that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am He (Isaiah 43:7-13).”
Yes, the Lord is Holy the Lord is He? “Jesus is the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of
Israel , your King. And thus says the Lord, which makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters: Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, shall ye not know?”
“I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. The beast of the field shall honor me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. This people have I formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise (Isaiah 43:15-21).
Yes, fear ye not, neither be afraid. The Lord has told us from the time and has declared it. They have not known nor understood: for he has shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand. And none considered in his heart, neither is their knowledge nor understanding to say (Isaiah 44:8,18-19).
