Experience Jesus

Let us acquaint ourselves to the truth that Jesus is true God and true man because of his dual nature. Many come to him to be healed of their illnesses, and through his power acquired from the Father, lepers are cleansed, blind men have their eyes opened, the deaf have their ears unstopped, the dead were raised again, and the mute sang.

It is quite hard to understand how a certain man was able to do this, unless we open our eyes to the truth that Jesus was not only a man but he also had the fullness of deity in him. The Father was pleased that in Jesus should dwell the fullness of the Godhead bodily. In Isaiah 11:2, the spirit of the Lord simply rested in Jesus.

No wonder, Jesus said, the one who has seen him sees the Father also (John 14:9). He is strong in his proclamation that he and the Father are one (John 10:30). He said, he is in the Father and the Father is in him (John 14:10) He asks them to believe for the works’ sake not to what he speaks of his own initiative, but to the work the Father does.

Whatever you ask in his name, that he will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13). A Helper was also given to us, which he asks from his Father, that the spirit of the Lord may dwell in us forever (John 14:16). If anyone loves him, he will keep his words; his Father will love him, and they will come to abide with him.

He said he is the vine, and his Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in him that doesn’t bear fruit, the Father does takes away; and every branch that bear fruit, the Father prunes that it may bear more fruits (John 14:23; 15:1-2- New American Standard). All things, asked in prayer in his name, with you believing it, you shall receive.

The princes of this world would not have killed Jesus if they only knew of his kingdom in heaven and of his nature as the Son of God for Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation (Colossians 1:15). Though he is a child born, and a Son given, he is also the mighty God and the everlasting Father (Isaiah 9:6).

The grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age while looking for that blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus (Titus 2:13).

God has highly exalted him, and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).

For this reason, we need to believe of Jesus’ deity as well as his humanity. He has manifest in the flesh that he may save the world from their sins. He was glorified, an example that by his resurrection, we may also experience it through being renewed as we receive the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:4; 2:38).
