Jesus as God

Spread the good news of salvation. Allow Jesus to open others’ understanding that they might understand the scriptures. Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem, as it is expounded unto the people in all the scriptures the things concerning him (Luke 24:45,47,27).

John baptizes with water unto repentance; but he that comes after him is mightier than he, he baptizes with the Holy Ghost, and with fire (Matthew 3:11). As Jesus was baptized, the heaven were opened unto him, and John saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lo a voice from heaven saying, “This is my beloved Son!”

A voice was heard nearly from a God who is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, not just a voice separated from the Son. Being a God, the Almighty, the Holy One of Israel is big enough, infinite and eternal that cannot be confined in a mere voice. The Spirit like a dove is a sign for John and the voice was a sign for the people.

Jesus as he is led in the wilderness fasted forty days and forty nights, and was afterward a hungered: a sign that is he one hundred percent human. He said to Satan, “Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God”: a sign that he as God is one hundred percent divine. He said to Satan: Thou shall worship the Lord thy God and serve him only.

As a God, as the devil left, angels came and ministered unto him (Matthew 3:16-17; 4:2,7,10-11). In his ministry, behold, a leper worshipped him, saying, “Lord, if thou wilt, you can make me clean.” And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, “I will; be thou clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed (Matthew 8:2-3).

Jesus also slept in the boat, and there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves. As they woke him up, he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. The men marveled, saying, “What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him” (Matthew 8:24,26-27).

The devils also cried out saying, “Jesus thou Son of God? Art thou come hither to torment us before the time? If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.” And he said unto them, “Go.” And they went in the herd of swine, and these run violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters (Matthew 8:29).

The blind men also came to him: and Jesus said unto them, “Believe ye that I am able to do this.” He touched their eyes saying, “According to your faith be it unto you.” And their eyes were opened (Matthew 9:28-20). Jesus went about all the cities and villages, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness (Matt. 8:35).

Indeed, the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. Blessed are those whosoever is not offended in him (Matthew 11:5-6). He said that he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John the Baptist.

It pleased the Father

The light of God shines through the Christians, where they enjoy the love of the Master. The love of God is reflected through the in filling of the Holy Ghost where the receiver enjoys a majestic flow of joy. The Spirit of God is entrusted to us by the Lord that we may protect our body from being stained by the filth of the world.

With the presence of the Holy Ghost, we feel that Jesus is so alive in us. We obtain from him strength and, we consider JEHOVAH as our song. We feel that the Father is present with his spirit dwelling as the spirit of Jesus present in the Holy Ghost. With God as our strength, we are inspired to live a life worth living.

We move forward to spread the good news of salvation through proclaiming the gospel that Jesus died, was buried and was raised again. We make this present in us through repentance, baptism and the Holy Ghost. We call upon the name of the Lord for our salvation and we proclaim him as Lord and God.

We desire to live a life according to God’s precepts and designs and protect ourselves from the lure of the world. We practice prayer and fasting, and cleanse us through the refreshing of the Holy Ghost. We live a life according to God’s ways and encourage others to be positive about them living their lives in the Christian way.

We do not forget that Christ died for us that we may have life, and to live it to the full. We become brothers to one another not denying the power of the Spirit thereof but acknowledging God in the presence of others. We become strong through Bible reading and the seeking of the Holy Ghost, renewing ourselves every time.

It is indelibly etched in our memory that God is one and the same, the JEHOVAH of the Old Testament and his fulfillment as the Jesus of the new. We remember that he is the beginning and the ending, the first and the last, the Almighty of which he shall sit on the lone throne in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking judgment.

Without Jesus, our life is useless, unguided and uninspired with something spiritual. We easily grow weary without him, and are led to temptation staining our soul. We should not forget that he is always there for us to protect us and save our life from danger. He never came short of his promise, as he wants to make us whole.

With God, there is always that desire to forego with the mission to save souls or have a burden for them. We renew our commitment every time, and are desirous in the work in his vineyard. We restore the covenant through the circumcision of the heart as to the Gentiles, just as we are circumcised in the flesh.

We make us purified that we may not come short of glory and ever bring glory to the Master. We believe in One God, one Father, and One Lord Jesus Christ as we believe in one baptism. We proclaim Jesus as Lord and God of which in him dwelt the fullness of the Godhead bodily and it pleased the Father that in him all the fullness should dwell.
