Like Baton Runners

The Lord guides us that we may not to fall astray for we are embraced in his arms protected by him. We should not be weary in situations that we feel dryness or that it seems to us that we are down. In the time fitted, we shall overcome.

We should do our best to retain God in our knowledge for us not to become reprobates doing things that are not convenient (Romans 1:28). Let us abide in faith, hope and love (I Corinthians 13:13). Let us be new as old things pass for we are in Christ (II Cor. 5:17) with all lowliness, longsuffering, forbearing with one another (Eph. 4:2).

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor and evil speaking be put away (Eph. 4:31) Let us be new in the spirit of our mind (Eph. 4:23) doing all things without murmuring and disputing (Philippians 2:14). Remember, you can do all things through Christ, which strengthens you (Phil. 4:13).

It is our nature to abide with that one we trust, and be guided with his advice. How much more if it is the Lord who becomes a still small voice in our hearts and speaks to us comforting words? Isn’t it that our hearts burn as we read or hear the scriptures? It seems that we would not seek other things than our love for God and his word.

We should allow his word to settle in our hearts and be double-edged swords sharp to correct our ways. Hearing his word is an antidote to the pains we are encountering in the journey. The good things we get from the journey will alleviate the pains of the desert period. We would then be consoled by the flowers of the spring.

The approaching harvests time signals the moment of festivity and joy. To celebrate the coming of the Master, we need to be filled with the Holy Ghost that the door in the Bridegroom’s wedding be open for us. We need to be ready with our extra oil in each of our lamps. We should be hopeful for our salvation.

Healing would come to us, and our sufferings will be prized with our wellness. Even now God provides an active spirit and a healthy mind and body. With God on our side we may endure forever for he favors us. God has a good eye to see within us our clean motives. The test of the time of waiting has tapered our spirits.

We should be good to Jesus for he holds the key for us to become whole. There would be no murmurings, no regret or no blaming of others. The moment we get to the strait path, we should run the race to perfection no matter how weak we may be. The weakness of the body will be overcome by the courage of our spirit.

We would go on like baton runners continuing what the saints have started, fighting for truth and continuing the race. Let us be good to us and give it persevering spirit. We should be soaring and not gliding downward. Let us not forget that we have the truth that we should take care for us that we might not to fall.

The word of God shall be our weapon: the flame that shall light the path of many.
