Not stories to tell
The works of God are marvelous. We can’t help but appreciate his deeds. Even when the wintertime clothes us with trials, we can’t help but marvel unto his works of mercy because we are not consumed. With his mighty arm he embraces us in times we are scorned to death.
Gone are those days of weeping and mourning for the Lord has hailed us up the pit where he leads us away the rain, and in the warm blanket he covered us for the night. And in the morning we are greeted with a beautiful sunrise, and with sweet chirping of birds in the windowpane.
Just like a babe cared by its mother, suckling in all its thirst, we are also comforted with the hospitality of the Master. He leads us to a beautiful banquet and in a front row where he fills our cup to the brim, and on our front the sumptuous delicacies and viands are laid with our friends to join us in the meal.
Our exchanging of pleasantries lasted till midnight in one occasion where our relatives join us. God reveals these unto us by his Spirit, where there are deep things of God (I Corinthians 2:10). We never knew it was a big surprise that we are whole, back in our health again. The nightmares are dumped down the pit; burned and covered with soil.
As we face the future, we are clothed in white garment still eager for the rest of the journey. We cannot help but get excited of what other more surprises are laid ahead of us. Before we know it, we are welcomed by souls who read our hearts’ uttering. And yes, in the present time, the quiet journey is colored by a tranquil reunion.
Believe it, the mystery even the hidden wisdom is shared to us by the Master who then keep us held in his arms, and are made known to the readers of our reflections. The journey to the desert has led us to oases and springs, where ahead are trees and bushes with fruits in plenty to fill our hunger.
Come now and enjoy with us this reality, that before it is a dream but now a fulfillment of that. Our family and extended families and relatives are there to join us in our happiness. Present is a real world not fancied nor created to last in the night, but is there to continue till the day, and more days ahead.
We are now making not stories to tell, but reality of dreams to share that are gifted to us as a reward of our faithfulness. The time of fear and hesitation has crossed our way to last till we had completed the journey in the desert, where we then become ready to face the season of spring and be awed by God’s surprises.
Let us then not waste time but desire the Holy Ghost that shall preserve the tranquility of our soul and never desire nightmares again. In the spring where flowers abound, we yield not to the cross but to resurrection, avoiding those that led us to be fastened by nails in the time of our sufferings. Gone are those days and now we rejoice.
