Pillars to lean on
Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007 There are days that we don’t feel like exalting God even
in praise and worship precipitated perhaps by the death of a family member or
relative, but the Holy Ghost is not a thing to set aside. We need to recharge
the fire of the Spirit to allow it to burn in our hearts continuously. We need
to be strong that we can be pillars to lean on.
Though
we face problems as such, we need not grieve the Holy Ghost that we might not
be empty. The oil of the Spirit should be kept burning. We can present to God
our sorrow and allow him to comfort us with the Comforter, which is the Holy
Ghost. Though we feel the loss of someone beloved, our spiritual life should
not be neglected.
It
is these times that we give God his part to bring us into the spring of comfort
and encouragement through the brethren that shall sympathize with us. On the
other hand, the presence of the Holy Ghost is the part of God that shall give
you strength in time of sorrow. Through the refreshing of the Spirit of God, we
are made strong.
God
promised us the Comforter that shall come to us, that shall speak of his
mysteries and shall keep us filled with the strength of God by the Spirit that
shall dwell in us and shall give us the power to witness of his glory and to
draw souls unto salvation. With the Spirit in us, Jesus who shall fill us with
the needed inspiration keeps us hopeful.
The
glory of God is man fully alive not just in the time of happiness but also most
especially in the time of sorrow. When everyone is in pain, you don’t have to
be a pain. You should be shoulder and pillar to lean on. Though our hearts are
broken with the tragedy that came, we should not add to the misery that is
there.
We
need to be sources of encouragement from a family member. We need to face the
pain that we may grow in morale and in the spirit. We need to include the part
of God to the sorrow that we feel. Our body should reflect to others the
presence of the Holy Ghost that we receive and is refreshed every time. We need
to be matured Christians.
But
in the time that we need to be soft in the presence of God, we must pour unto
him our heartaches and sorrow for his Holy Ghost shall comfort us. God is a God
of order that shall help us distinguish the right spirit that can help us
whether it is human spirit or the Spirit of God. We ought to allow the Spirit
to move on that we may be filled.
Then
on, the Spirit of God shall be our strength that shall help us spiritually in
everyday lives. Among various times, now is the right moment to grow in God, to
be matured Christians that shall spread the gospel here and abroad for the end
times is here. At whatever state of emotion we are encountering, we need to
submit to God.
We
should also be workforce for truth and not workers of lies. We should act and
the time to do it is now for the spreading of the gospel that Jesus died, is
buried and rose again or in Christians idioms we need to repent, be baptized in
the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins, and should receive the Holy
Ghost (Acts 2:38).
