Spiritual life
We take time to watch and see for ourselves how far the winter has ruined us and how far the springtime has renewed us. There is still the echo of the marketplace where our soul is almost drowned in the midst of questions. There is the preempting dryness of the well and the extra oil of the wise virgins.
We almost forget the oasis that has satisfied our thirst in the journey through the desert. And as flowers bloom, we are amazed by the surprise of the harvest time. These are the seasons and situations of life. We live evolving in these patterns where we have choices emphasizing more our spiritual life.
No one knows exactly what is in store for us. Even God who knows all things is excited how will we face a new dawn of the journey. It is a day-to-day renewal of which we are not robots tied up to our destination, but restored each day fighting for the struggle to go on. Every day there is a new eagerness to participate or to love.
Life is a journey hand in hand with the Lord where we enjoy sharing in the traverse of every new challenge. It’s good that the Spirit teaching us captures how shall we behave better or where shall the fire of compassion lead us. The Lord watches how shall we pursue in every new occurrence.
There is a setting where our soul is mixed up with every soul varied in behavior and want, and is governed by different spirits, but the Spirit of God doesn’t leave us. It is by our attitude if how shall we serve our own purpose in life ever courageous and determined to continue the journey.
We could be saved by now or destined to be save, but the choice is still on us. We could fall lukewarm or our love may wax cold, or we may have a rebellious spirit and this can lead us to damnation. But if the Spirit of God is dwelling in us, Jesus will find a way that we would not fall, but be ever firm in endurance and willing to cooperate with God.
Thus, we are kept tied with the journey, enduring and is being renewed each day; fighting the good fight of faith, while becoming an instrument for the salvation of others. The road is full of flowers making you excited each time, revealing the mystery of God to others; gathering your recesses still to keep the fire of your lamp burning.
Let us be glad for knowing God in the deepness of his godliness. Let us not be depressed over situations but a good traveler of the journey. God will work out miracles that we may not be kept down but would survive each day. Remember that God knows but you have your freedom and it is up for you to use it wisely.
Do not be carried by premonitions, or be like Simon the Sorcerer whose heart is not right in the eyes of God; who want the power of the Holy Ghost in exchange for money. Be ever fiery like Stephen who knows his God and is faithful even till stoned to death, while uttering, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit” (Acts 7:59).
